WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAMS FOR LONG-TERM SUCCESS
At Surgical Weight Loss Solutions, our ultimate goal is to help you achieve healthy weight loss. In addition to reducing overall body weight, our individualized weight management programs are designed to improve your overall body composition by achieving a healthy ratio of body fat and muscle tissue. Surgery alone cannot accomplish this. At Surgical Weight Loss Solutions, we recognize that long-term healthy weight management is a life-long commitment. That’s why our experienced and skilled surgeons, clinical nutritionist and program director are ready to guide and support you before, during and long after your surgical procedure.
Preoperative Education
It’s important to have all the information you need to decide what surgery option is right for you. Through small group seminars and one-on-one consultations with our surgeons, you can learn about our weight loss programs, the different types of surgical procedures we offer, and the key benefits and potential risks involved with bariatric surgery. What’s more, we clearly outline what you can expect at every stage of your weight loss program.
Preparing for Surgery
Our staff works closely with you to prepare for your surgical procedure. To help facilitate overall administrative tasks, we partner with you on processing insurance authorizations as well as scheduling necessary psychological evaluations, preoperative lab testing and surgery. To help you physically prepare for surgery, our staffed clinical nutritionist provides detailed nutritional guidelines for the few months prior to your surgery date. We also suggest lifestyle changes to help ease your post-surgical transition.
Surgery
At Surgical Weight Loss Solutions, our surgeons and nursing staff are dedicated to your care and comfort throughout your hospital stay. Prior to your procedure, our surgeon will be on hand to answer any remaining questions you may have. The surgery itself typically lasts one to three hours, depending on which procedure you choose. With extensive training and experience in caring for bariatric surgery patients, our nursing staff will help you throughout the recovery period.
Postoperative Support
In addition to providing you with nutritional and physical activity counseling following surgery, we encourage routine follow-up visits with our surgeons so you can achieve the best long-term results. What’s more, we offer postoperative support groups, which enable you to exchange experiences, identify common concerns and develop solutions with fellow bariatric patients. And, our experienced staff is always available to assist you. |
