Eric Schlesinger, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Eric Schlesinger, M.D., F.A.C.S., a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, specializes in bariatric surgery, providing patients with a full array of weight loss surgery options, including adjustable gastric banding, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch and vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG). Recognized for his expertise in revision weight loss surgery and with licenses to operate in numerous states, including Arizona, California, Illinois, Maryland and Michigan, Dr. Schlesinger attracts patients throughout the U.S. Applying his extensive experience in bariatric and general surgery, emergency care and trauma surgery, Dr. Schlesinger continues to perform a wide variety of general surgery procedures, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

A native of Newark, N.J., Dr. Schlesinger attended Rutgers College in New Brunswick, N.J. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa., and completed his surgical residency at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca. He has also held numerous medical administrative roles and served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Southern California. Dr. Schlesinger is a member of several medical organizations including the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons, Society of Graduate Surgeons, Fellow of the International College of Surgeons, American Medical Association and Arizona Medical Association.
